From AZ — This Spot Feels Like Home Thanks to Haley I’m from Arizona and travel often for work, so I’ve been to more bars than I can count — but Happy Endings instantly stood out. I stumbled in on a chill night, and what made it memorable wasn’t the drink menu or decor (which are solid), but Haley, the bartender. She’s got this energy that just makes the whole place feel lighter — like you belong there even if you’re a stranger. And it wasn’t just me who noticed. I literally heard multiple people at the bar — who didn’t know each other — say, “Haley is the reason I keep coming back here.” That kind of consistency says everything. It wasn’t forced, it wasn’t scripted — just genuine appreciation from real customers. I’ve been back a few times now, and it’s the same every visit. She sets the tone. Makes everyone feel at ease. Like so many others who visit Maine you find yourself sashaying through Bangor on your way to the coast and you want to find a good bar to meet your own. In Bangor it is aptly named Happy Endings and it is a fabulous place to mingle with the locals over a good cosmopolitan or other fruity cocktail either inside or out. The place kicks up as the night sets in but Bangor is not a late night town so plan your happy endings before 11 otherwise you will be online.

Upscale, Intimate, and Low-key, Happy Endings is my go-to when entertaining out of town guests, hosting Holiday get togethers, impressing a Date, and / or meeting Business Clients. The Big City vibe is a refreshing alternative to the usual pubs, and their signature drink menu is both well curated, and amazingly diverse. There is literally something for everyone! Highly recommended- And I'll be going there early tonight (Tuesday) for Karaoke. (Always a packed house!) That said: The signature drinks are often complex, and require additional time to create. Be patient- They are well worth the wait! Beware, however, that the prices aren't listed, and your bill can add up quickly... This isn't a place to get lit on a budget. Best Experience I’ve Had in a Bar in a Long Time Stopped by Happy Endings on a whim and honestly didn’t expect much — but wow, did that change fast. The highlight of the night? Haley, without question. She had this crazy natural way of making the whole place feel comfortable and fun without trying too hard. Just real, easygoing energy that makes you want to hang out longer. She was super attentive, cracked a few jokes, gave great drink recs, and somehow made the entire bar feel like a group of friends instead of strangers. It’s rare to find someone in hospitality who’s got both the personality and the professionalism locked in — Haley nailed it. She’s the kind of person who makes you want to come back not just for the drinks, but for the vibe she creates. If more bars had people like her, they’d be packed every night. Major shoutout to whoever hired her — seriously, she’s a gem.

Feels Like Home I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt like this one was earned. I’ve been to Happy Endings a few times now, and every time Haley’s working, the night just hits different. She’s the type of person who greets you like she’s genuinely happy you showed up. Super down to earth, easy to talk to, and just good energy all around. The kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and checks in without hovering — just on point. You can tell she sets the tone for the room. People are more relaxed, conversations flow better, and it never feels forced. That’s not something you find at most places. Happy Endings has a lot going for it, but Haley is a big reason why I keep coming back.

My husband and I are here all the time because they are consistently amazing! The martinis and cocktails are truly inspired, nothing else compares in the Bangor area. The tapas and desserts are tasty additions. But they do also have a few wines and beers on tap if you prefer. Happy Endings is a small bar that draws in a crowd with it's live music, drink specials, and personable service. My favorites include: Ruby Slipper (strawberry, lemon, and mint), Peach Bellini (mini champagne bottle!), the creme brulee and the Corey flatbread.
